Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe by T2T Food Blogger Katherine

 

Deliciously sweet, easy to make, moist chocolate chip banana bread made in one bowl! The BEST banana bread recipe for breakfast or snack. Grab those super ripe bananas and turn them into this easy banana bread recipe with chocolate chips that you and your family will absolutely love! 

 

INGREDIENTS>  

5 ripe small banana
2 cups wholemeal self-raising flour * 1 & 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup coconut sugar * 1 tsp vanilla extract
2 free-range eggs 100 grams butter
1 cup dark chocolate chips + 1/3 cup for top  

 

INSTRUCTIONS>  

Preheat the oven to 180C. Line a loaf tin with baking paper. Melt the butter.
In a large bowl, place the bananas, mash well with a fork. Add flour, baking powder and coconut sugar. Mix together until combined. Add the eggs and melted butter and stir with wooden spoon until combined into a batter.
Add 1 cup chocolate bits to the batter and fold through gently.
Pour the batter into the prepared tin and sprinkle the remaining chocolate bits over the top.
Place in the oven and bake for 50-55 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean. Allow to cool on a wire rack.  

 

TIPS*. *Coconut sugar can be replaced with white

 *Wholemeal can be replaced with white flour 

*Store leftover slices in an airtight container in the fridge.
